Northumberland ladies prevail over Durham

On a sweltering day at Whickham it was a victory for Northumberland ladies‘ in the inter-County 4BBB. The pairs competition was hotly contested with Eileen Gow and Sandra from Longhirst Hall scoring 45 points, closely followed by Lindsey Whittaker and Gloria Goodchild from Matfen Hall with 44 points. In the Inter- County match the six pairs from Northumberland scored 237 points to pip Durham by just one point. Well done to everyone involved for a super day and thank you to the Durham ladies and Whickham Golf Club for hosting.
